The number of unemployed people in Hajdu-Bihar has grown by 1000, that is 3% in a year. Every 8th adult is unemployed in the county.
In 2009, there were about 44.000 registered job seekers, 4.744 of them were entrants. Last year even more, 45.135 job seekers were registered at the 13 agencies of the county and more than 5000 of them were entrants. Most of the companies search for workers with primary or secondary level education. Less than 10% would employ professionals.
Skilled workers have much bigger chances to find a job than the unskilled ones. Skilled workers are usually employed in the commerce, industry, manufacturing and services.
